RunNING LONDON TO BRIGHTON

For years I had fears and doubts about running. Not being good at it, not enjoying it and as a result, not wanting to do it. After Ironman Wales I decided I didn’t want this fear to affect me anymore and found a running challenge that inspired me. One Saturday morning along with my husband Charley and friend Alex, I left London at 5am and ran 100km to Brighton. We followed off road trails, navigated with maps and a compass and fuelled on jelly babies and flapjacks. Powered by the philosophy “One day I will not be able to do this, today is not that day”, 17 hours later we hobbled onto Brighton beach, feeling exhausted but proud to have run so far in one day.
